The composition of Argan oil

It is no secret that the composition of any vegetable oil is strongly influenced by its production techniques and conditions. Pure and organic Argan oil is only made using traditional techniques, especially when it comes to culinary Argan oil.

Argan oil also referred to as liquid gold has been used for culinary, medical and cosmetic purposes throughout the centuries by the native Moroccan Berbers.

Argan oil is extremely rich in vitamins, anti-oxidants, and fatty acids. It has numerous nutritional values.

Nutritional values of argan oil

Argan oil has a very good source of oleic acid, which is monounsaturated omega-9 fat. It represents 45 to 48% of Argan oil nutritional composition.

Another vital nutrient that we can also find plenty of in Argan oil is linoleic acid, known as Omega-6. It represents approximatively 31 to 35 %.

It also contains saturated AG: 13 to 17% Palmitic, 2 to 6% stearic, and traces of alpha-linolenic (Omega 3 acid).

Other active constituents are vitamins. In fact, compared to other organic vegetable oils, Argan oil is the one who has the highest rate of vitamins, especially vitamins E and A. This can be explained by the presence of these constituents: melatonin, sterols, polyphenolic compounds, squalene, carotenoids, and way more.

Organic Moroccan oil has a balanced composition of essential fatty acids. It contains a significant amount of health-boosting and scientifically recognized components.
